JFS helps people redefine an old career or find a new one.
Sudden loss of a job ranks along with death and divorce as a life stressor that may negatively affect feelings of self-worth and lead to depression, anxiety and family instability. Concern for financial security, professional competence and family security are normal during this time, and usually part of a natural grieving process. For most people this process will lead to hope if life and personal priorities are kept in balance.
Finding the right profession or vocational path may also be stressful for high school students and new college graduates. JFS offers support and direction during critical times of transition.
