An eating disorder of any kind is potentially life-threatening, and often exacerbated by a national culture and commercial industry that promotes a certain type of body image as beautiful and desirable.

Jewish Family Service of Buffalo and Erie County offers a compassionate and confidential lifeline for individuals and families facing the challenge of diagnosing and managing anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and other eating disorders.

Eating disorders affect children, adults and seniors. Our JFS counselors and medical professionals work closely with each individual to create a personal plan to develop the self-confidence and personal skills needed to successfully manage the emotions, attitudes and behaviors surrounding body image, weight and food issues.

If you think you or someone you love may have an eating disorder, contact JFS of Buffalo and Erie County – we can help.
