JFS offers treatment and support for people over 60 with a mental health diagnosis.
The JFS Elder Wrap Around Program (E-WRAP) is a socialization program open to Erie County residents over the age of 60 who have a mental health diagnosis and who are receiving mental health treatment from Jewish Family Service of through another provider.*
E-WRAP prepares participants for successful integration into local senior centers, neighborhood churches and other community activities. Staff helps each client learn how to establish links and manage environments that will help them to maintain their independence. We also help them learn how to comfortably and independently socialize with other seniors. Where appropriate, staff works with therapists and medical providers.
JFS provides E-WRAP services at no cost. To make a referral call (716) 883-1914 and ask for the JFS Elder Wrap Around Program.
*JFS connects individuals with a diagnosis of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease or substance abuse to our appropriate partnering agencies. |
